Benefits of UV Printing
- Uncoated Substrates - ideal for uncoated paper because the ink cures on the surface of the stock, thus eliminating dry-back. Gone are the days of images appearing washed-out from conventional inks drying and absorbing deep into the fibers of the paper. Vibrant colors can now be achieved on uncoated and textured stocks.
- HDUV - high definition UV printing is our process of printing with UV inks while utilizing 20 micron stochastic screening. This is the realization of high fidelity ink hold-out on the surface of tactile paper.
- Elimination of Scuffing, Picking, Offset - because the press sheets are cured before they even reach the end of the press you never have to worry about dark colors scuffing or transferring to other sheets within the press run or during the multiple touches incurred during finishing.
- Improved Production Efficiencies - with the elimination of drying time, jobs can be handled in the bindery immediately and shipped just minutes after coming off press.
- Broad Substrate Versatility - UV inks allow you to print on non-porous materials (vinyl, styrene, foil, mylar, static clings) with great success allowing your creativity to go beyond paper.
